My name is Hussein Maxos and I am Arabic Teacher. This is my own site, but I would like to introduce my team IRAMES before myself, because I owe them most of my success. I also have to acknowledge all efforts, training, advising, curriculum etc made by Mr. Steve Boeshaar, our group top advisor and the director of American Language Center (ALC)-Damascus.

During the years 1988 to 1995 I worked as a private teacher. As the teaching expanded and my program improved I started the independent group IRAMES (Ibn Rushd for Arabic and Middle East Studies) consisting of assistants, volunteers and professionals based here in Damascus. I still teach most of the language courses while researchers work with other colleague specialists in the fields of Arab heritage, literature, Islam, arts, and economics. In addition, agents and volunteers offer the students various services and socializing.

We hope to create better understanding between people from different cultures
